PRODUCT PLATFORMING "INDUSTRIAL DRONES"
The big Chinese drone manufacturer decide to dive deeper in market of industry drones. It is a huge, but highly diversified market with very specialised products. In most advanced cases, the industrial drones are based on specified AI solutions.
In order to reach most segments of this market, the manufacturer decide to create a product platform with developer ecosystem. They intent to involve a third-party developers in development and integration of AI solutions. The manufacturer ask HEURISTIC to help them in product platforming. Heuristic creates: 1.) online product platform (with manual for system integration, applicable AI models and components, SDK) 2.) The global developers community 3.) a several corporate incubators on diverse world locations. As result, the drone manufacturer focuses internal R&D on flying performance and consequently on increasing the production of drones.
CROWDSOURCED R&D "SMART CRIB"
Crib manufacturer intended to create a new generation of ai based product - Smart Crib. The novel idea is to create a crib that will be moved depending on type of baby crying. Final solution should integrate AI tech for voice recognition and related moving mechanism. Because of many R&D benefits (less costs, faster development, effective solution), the manufacturer decides to apply a crowdsourced R&D approach in Smart Crib development.
They engaged HEURISTIC to perform this project. Heuristic designed crowdsourced R&D strategy, selected and optimized vendors portfolio and finally supervised a crowdsourced R&D microworks (gathering a baby crying dataset, collecting crib moving experiences, developing ml model, designing a board architecture, developing software, and designing the crib).
As result of Heuristic engagement, the crib manufacturer has received fully developed Smart Crib technology as well as IP rights, spending significantly less R&D time and costs compared to internal R&D.
CORPORATE INCUBATOR “5G”
Aiming to boost a usage of 5G services, telecommunication provider wants to create a corporate incubator for prospective Big Data/AI firms that relay their services on 5G network. The firm contacted HEURISTIC to scout relevant AI start-ups, and to create and supervise one-year corporate incubator program.
